Hallo again :-) i have tried to do an animation, that includes something similar to what i was looking for: instead of drawing particle path, i tried to plot solution trajectories for constant timesteps using animate: animate( DEplot, [[diff(x(t), t) = cos(b)*x(t)+sin(b)*y(t), diff(y(t), t) = sin(b)*x(t)-cos(b)*y(t)], [x(t), y(t)], t = 0 .. 3, [[x(0) = 5, y(0) = 1], [x(0) = 3, y(0) = 1], [x(0) = 5, y(0) = -1], [x(0) = 3, y(0) = -1], [x(0) = -5, y(0) = 1], [x(0) = -3, y(0) = 1], [x(0) = -5, y(0) = -1], [x(0) = -3, y(0) = -1]], stepsize = .8, title = Streamlines, linecolor = 1/2*t, arrows = MEDIUM, method = rkf45], b = 0 .. 2*Pi ) for timestep b=0, everything looks fine, as you can see in the animation, but then instead of a rotation of the field everything degenerates in the following timesteps... I would like to get a timedependent vector field and solution trajectories starting with the same initial conditions for each timestep, what did I do wrong??? Thanks for your time, Raphael
