Mission planning is a feature available in the form of episodic missions. It allows players to discover different starting points, smuggled objects and gear slots prior to entering the map. These options for planning expand as players advance through challenges and gain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players to create the perfect mission for each challenge. Gear Slot The gear slots will quickly get full early in the game, leading to the common message "Your Gear Slots are Full". This message prevents Max to pick new equipment until the old items are removed or a larger space has been obtained. The solution is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for fulfilling challenge missions. However, because the majority of these challenges are scattered around the world and can be missed, it can take some time to get the maximum number of inventory slots that are available in the game. Agency Pickups As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups throughout the map. These locations allow you to keep items that aren't suitable in your weapon or gear slot and take them out later. These pick-ups can be useful when your task requires you to pass through a frisk or if you carry a weapon with you that could cause suspicion. You can only conceal one item per game at an agency pickup location. This DLC adds new contracts to security and asset protection to the agency. Contact the receptionist at the agency and stock up on snacks and armor. Once you have reached the marker for your mission you can identify a crowd at the time you arrive.
