Make sure your new deadbolts and latch plates are of the same length as the original ones, and that they're placed in the right place over the hole in the jamb. Once everything is in place then push the remaining screws to tighten them up. You can now test the deadbolt and latch using your key. If the key won't turn, it's time to call a locksmith.
