Yes I used the GUI on the left panel and picked the summation sign and worked from there. I inderstand what you mean by replacing 'i' with '2*i-1'. I will give it a try and see how it goes.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I am aware of that method but how to I apply that to the graphical interface of Maple as shown in the image?

If it is not possible, how do I convert from the graphical Maple to Maple classic? I would prefer the graphical Maple as it is useful for report writing.

I understand this method. Due to the requirement to import the equation into MATLAB after producing it in Maple I do not think this will be the most effective way of getting only the odd terms.

Do you have suggetions for alternative methods?
