@tomleslie There was some misunderstanding on my end. I just wanted to mention that the bounds for some of the variables are from -20 to -1. So in that case, the initial point guessed by Maple will not be 0.009.

I used printlevel:=10 and it showed a lot of useful information. I still have doubt regarding initial point that is selected automatically. When we don't provide any initial point, how does it selects the initial point? you have mentioned 0.9 but I didn't find this information in the printed information. Also, the bounds of the variables are not between 0 and 1 for all the variables.
