There's no hard and fast rule that says your must limit your trip time from a couple of days to a couple weeks. Be aware that even if your trip is sponsored by somebody else, it's still true that you need to offer your own bank and employment documents in addition to your sponsor's. You need to supply a strong, hard evidence you will return once vacation time is over.
