The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking to buy an affordable mop and robot vacuum. It provides a fantastic mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the top-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to provide you with the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is in place it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button. You can select a general clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do and can remove pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot claims it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to hug furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard however we found it only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also features superior filtration, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think it's a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a higher price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers, and to tidy up your entire home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and also set virtual boundary markers so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vac settings are as effective as those of more expensive models, and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.
The only downside is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's an acceptable cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and then moves along.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.
You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it to.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them fresh and ready for reuse. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and voice assistant that operates offline, allowing you to manage it even when away from home. It also has more mopping options and a smart routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a set route.
The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features, but they also push the L10s into the luxury category. This could mean it's more expensive than what homeowners would need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the settings of the app which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
