I intuitively would say: A generalized symbolic answer should contain {A, B, w1, w2, and theta}.

Some restrictions can be such as: {A, B. w1, w2, and theta}>0.

A generalized solution would not be affected by the relative relations between w1 and w2. Unless, solutions exist for special cases only.

In fact I'm more intereseted in a generalized symbolic answer. is that posspile with Maple?

Also, you said that it's max(abs(A+B), abs(A-B)) in case w1 and w2 are multiples.

 

1- Do you have a more precise reference for that answer?

2- What if w1 and w2 are not multiples.
