Sorry for my english, i'm spanish speaker. In had that problem.

I discovered that the problem is the software of logitech scroll app for browsers (chrome, firefox, IE).

If you uninstall this program you can install maple 16 without problems.

In my case I had his version of the aplication in my system:

scroll_app_smart_4.00.33

My system is windows 7 x64 SP1. And I use maple 16 x64.
