A Course in Miracles define that there are only two basic thought systems, one of knowledge and the other of perception.The thought system of perception is inherently illusory because it is established upon interpretation, not on fact. It is established on our belief in our segregation from God and from one another. From this flows a belief in sin, evil, fear ,scarcity, and guilt .This thought system of perception is what the Course calls the ego, which is actually a set of beliefs that center across the body as our reality and the limit of our being.
