i want to find the stability of this equation, but there is seem to have some problems..can somebody help me..

## How do I check the monotonicity of a function?...

This might be a ridiculous question, but what is the easiest way to check the monotonicity of a function? I didn´t find anything helpful in the Maple Help, so maybe one of you could give me a nudge here :)

I find mapleform software but I dont know how to use , and does anyone know another method to convert. I know use

I can automatically translated .nb files. but this have

also I try to use

I still dont know how is works? can you explains for me and show me some example , here is my example files.plot.zip

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to understand how to work with PDEs in Maple by solving a basic PDE such as the wave equation, along with conditions at t = 0 in terms of arbitrary functions. I stumbled upon the very same example, included in the Maple Online help at this page under the part "Three Textbook Examples":

I tried to copy and paste the code and execute it, but to no avail: it seems like pdsolve doesn't give me any other result than a blank space, unlike in the example reported in the Online help. Can anyone tell me if (and where) I am doing wrong? Is it possible that my version of Maple (Maple 13) may not be compatible with the procedures required by this example?

A warm thank you to whoever will help me!

## Kernel connection lost...

Hello,

I'm trying to calculate and export a huge "Strategy-Matrix". The calculation works in a smaller version with less possible strategies. For this version I use a specialised simulation-PC with enough memory (that was my problem using my own PC). But now I've got this error massage ("Kernel connection has been lost. You should save this worksheet and restart Maple. Executing commands in Maple requires a connection to the Maple kernel. Firewalls have been known to cause problems with kernel connections in Maple. Please ensure that any firewall software is configured to allow Maple to create connections to the kernel. Consult the FAQ for more information.")

The firewall should not be the problem. Below the code. num_Strat is 63001.

m_Gi(..,t):= v_h2:

## Contourplot and surface-plot/plot[surfdata] in sam...

I have a surfdata-plot which - by interpolation - goes through different circles with different inclinations with respect to each other. The surface is color-coded with zhue from violet to red. In order to see the valleys behind peaks I would like to have a filled 2D-plot of my zhue-surfdata colors with contours wherever the surface passes z-coordinate integers located somewhere below the surface (e.g. at z=-7). Unfortunately, I haven't found examples of contourplots for surfdata plots so far.

## Display a contour and 3d plot in same plot...

When trying to plot "Example1" from this page www.rhitt.com/courses/227/su99/Maple/html/surfaces2.html I get an error message that Maple cannot make a plot structure from an object with the transformation proc( (x,y) -> [x,y,-.3] end proc) . How can I plot this example?

## Define a vector for arbitrary values ...

Helo Dears, I need help to generate a vector whose detail given below

`for `K:=1 and m:=3 i need [[[psi[1,0]],[psi[1,1]],[psi[1,2]]]] and for K:=1 and m:=4 i need [[[psi[1,0]],[psi[1,1]],[psi[1,2]],[psi[1,3]]]]

`similarly for `K:=2 and m:=3 i need [[[psi[1,0]],[psi[1,1]],[psi[1,2]],[psi[2,0]],[psi[2,1]],[psi[2,2]]]] and for K:=1 and m:=4 i need [[[psi[1,0]],[psi[1,1]],[psi[1,2]],[psi[1,3]],[psi[2,0]],[psi[2,1]],[psi[2,2]],[psi[2,3]]]]

Simply I need to generate a general vector for arbitrary values of k and M as discus in above.

## Command for a square matrix...

Dear friends! Hope you will be fine. I want to generate a general form of the matrix (of order 2M+1 by 2M+1) shown below in Maple

[[[0,0,⋯,0,-1/(M Pi),0,⋯,0,1/(M Pi)],[0,0,⋯,0,-1/((M-1) Pi),0,⋯,1/((M-1) Pi),0],[⋮,⋮,⋱,⋮,⋮,⋮, ⋰,⋮,⋮],[0,0,⋯,0,-1/(Pi),1/(Pi),⋯,0,0],[1/(Pi),1/(Pi),⋯,1/(Pi),1,1/(Pi),⋯,1/(Pi),1/(Pi)],[0,0,⋯,1/(Pi),1/(Pi),0,⋯,0,0],[⋮,⋮,⋰,⋮,⋮,⋮,⋱,⋮,⋮],[0,1/((M-1) Pi),⋯,0,1/((M-1) Pi),0,⋯,0,0],[1/(M Pi),0,⋯,0,1/(M Pi),0,⋯,0,0]]]

for M=4 we get

Matrix(9, 9, {(1, 1) = 0, (1, 2) = 0, (1, 3) = 0, (1, 4) = 0, (1, 5) = -(1/4)/Pi, (1, 6) = 0, (1, 7) = 0, (1, 8) = 0, (1, 9) = (1/4)/Pi, (2, 1) = 0, (2, 2) = 0, (2, 3) = 0, (2, 4) = 0, (2, 5) = -(1/3)/Pi, (2, 6) = 0, (2, 7) = 0, (2, 8) = (1/3)/Pi, (2, 9) = 0, (3, 1) = 0, (3, 2) = 0, (3, 3) = 0, (3, 4) = 0, (3, 5) = -(1/2)/Pi, (3, 6) = 0, (3, 7) = (1/2)/Pi, (3, 8) = 0, (3, 9) = 0, (4, 1) = 0, (4, 2) = 0, (4, 3) = 0, (4, 4) = 0, (4, 5) = -1/Pi, (4, 6) = 1/Pi, (4, 7) = 0, (4, 8) = 0, (4, 9) = 0, (5, 1) = 1/Pi, (5, 2) = 1/Pi, (5, 3) = 1/Pi, (5, 4) = 1/Pi, (5, 5) = 1, (5, 6) = 1/Pi, (5, 7) = 1/Pi, (5, 8) = 1/Pi, (5, 9) = 1/Pi, (6, 1) = 0, (6, 2) = 0, (6, 3) = 0, (6, 4) = 1/Pi, (6, 5) = 1/Pi, (6, 6) = 0, (6, 7) = 0, (6, 8) = 0, (6, 9) = 0, (7, 1) = 0, (7, 2) = 0, (7, 3) = (1/2)/Pi, (7, 4) = 0, (7, 5) = (1/2)/Pi, (7, 6) = 0, (7, 7) = 0, (7, 8) = 0, (7, 9) = 0, (8, 1) = 0, (8, 2) = (1/3)/Pi, (8, 3) = 0, (8, 4) = 0, (8, 5) = (1/3)/Pi, (8, 6) = 0, (8, 7) = 0, (8, 8) = 0, (8, 9) = 0, (9, 1) = (1/4)/Pi, (9, 2) = 0, (9, 3) = 0, (9, 4) = 0, (9, 5) = (1/4)/Pi, (9, 6) = 0, (9, 7) = 0, (9, 8) = 0, (9, 9) = 0})

I want the general for of this matrix for any value of M
