@acer

Thank you very much for finding this error in the package. But as I have tried in my Maple both in GUI and command-line terminal on Linux Ubuntu, I still get

"Error, invalid input: with expects its 1st argument, pname, to be of type {`module`, package}, but received FGb"

after renaming the .so file and typing "libname := "/home/usr/maple2020/FGb/FGblib", libname; " and "with(FGb);".

So how to make it work?

Many thanks!

@acer

Thank you for your prompt reply. Then how to connect the 2 files with the module FGb? and if you look into the instructions of the package, is there any renaming or intermediate step between them? Many thanks.

@acer

Thank you for your reply. Okay, I should not call march on the .lib file. I think that edit and save an .int file may not matter after I add the libnames with paths.

But here is the main issue, on which here is the error message I got after I typed "with(FGb):"

"Error, invalid input: with expects its 1st argument, pname, to be of type {`module`, package}, but received FGb"

So how to make it work?

Many thanks.

Thank you for your reply.

But how to add a line to any initialization file or create an initialization file in Maple graphic user interface on Linux Ubuntu?

On the other hand, here is the error message I got by typing "march('open', " /home/user /maple2020/14539/FGblib/FGblib.lib  ")":

"Error, (in march) there is no existing archive in " /home/user /maple2020/14539/FGblib/FGblib.lib  ""

So how to make it work? Thanks a lot.

@acer

Thank you for your comment. Okay, it seems this command basically moves the folder or files under maple2020. But after doing this, how to use the files under folder 14539 and FGblib, which contains, .so, .lib, and .ind files, in Maple 2020? Many thanks.

@acer

FYI, here is one of the error messages I got:

"mv <14539>/*.so <~/maple2020>
bash: syntax error near unexpected token `14539'"

@acer Thank you for your comment. I followed the steps, but could not install it, and encountered error messages.

@dharr

Thank you for your comment. Attached please find the file, convex.mla. You can try: f := x^4 + x^3*y - 7/4*x^2*y^2 - 1/2*x*y^3 + 5/2*y^4; r := multivsos1(f, 2, 30, 200, 30, 2, 10, false, 1)

Thanks  a lot!

@dharr

Thank you for your answer. I change that line to the line you provided, but I still get the error message, "Error, (in monspt) invalid input: ArrayTools:-Reverse expects its 1st argument, A, to be of type rtable, but received [[0, 4], [1, 3], [2, 2], [3, 1], [4, 0], [0, 3], [1, 2], [2, 1], [3, 0], [0, 2], [1, 1], [2, 0], [0, 1], [1, 0], [0, 0]]". So how to make it work? Thanks a lot!

@tomleslie

Thank you for your detailed answer.

Thank you for your answers. Could you please find which line of command in this maple program, proce.txt, causes the error? Thanks a lot.

@acer The document has now been linked. So how to make it work? Thanks a lot!

@acer Thank you for your answer. I tried the use the string that you provided, but it says "Error, Got internal error in unknown : "invalid input: lhs received sattr, which is not valid for its 1st argument, expr". So how to make it work? Thanks a lot!
"

@Thomas Richard Thank you for your answer. I tried both  "xmaple"  and  "maple", but it says "command not found". It seems that it did not ask for activation this time and I could not find any new folder. So how to make it work? Many thanks.

@Thomas Richard Thank you for your answer. Now it says "Setup has finished installing Maple on your computer", but there is no folder that contains the installed application and when I type the command "Maple", it says "Maple: command not found". So how to install it successfully or make it work? Many thanks.
