Yes I thought about adding borders.  Right now there is no explicit definition of borders.  The cylinders are just color coded (in a 4 color scheme) based on the state to which they belong.  
 

I got the longitude and latitude from a CSV file I found on the web and then mapped those coordinates to a plane. (There is some distortion in any such mapping)

I used Maple 2020.

I am continuing to evolve this and will post updates.
