Hi, I think I will go crazy if I have to type
maple("printf(MathML:-ExportPresentation( ... ))");
one more time. It would be great to have an abbreviate version of this like
mapleml("...");
or something. Or how about a function available in the question bank editor to translate short LaTeX phrases into mathml? This would solve a huge number of my Maple T.A. issues. Anyway, along these lines, what I'd really like to do right now is ask my students about double integrals and display something like $\int\int_R f(x,y)\ dA$ Any suggestions? Can I use mathml() to display symbols like the integral?
I had a few students drop after the first few days of class, and I've deleted their records from the "administration" part of the gradebook in Maple T.A., but their names continue to appear when I generate student statistics reports. Is there a way to prevent their names from appearing the in report? Thanks, Marc
I have a student who missed a Maple T.A. assignment, but he made the work up for me later by turning in a hard copy. Now I'd like to enter his grade and let Maple T.A. continue to keep accurate track of his record, but I can't make this assignment appear on the student's record. Any suggestions? Thanks, Marc
Hello - thanks rcoe for your previous post. One of my students encountered a system error after clicking the link to his assignment and entering his username and password. I created a "fake student" and was able to recreate the error a couple times after randomly opening and closing some assignments. The error stopped occuring after I logged in as the instructor and cleared any active assignments the student had. I am running Maple TA version 2.0.1. Is this a bug or do you have any suggestions on how to avoid this error in the future? Here are the two error messages I received (at different times):
I recently gave a Maple T.A. assignment to my students, and now I'd like to extend the deadline by a day or two. Should I be wary of any side-effects to changing the due date after students have started working on the assignment? Thanks, Marc (I mean technical side-effects, not the side effect of having my students think I'm a pushover :)
